Self-Directed Portfolio Research — Not Client WorkIdentifying a Ghanaian Local Authority Through Administrative Records

Summary
An independent research demonstration set a question with a single, objectively verifiable answer: which local authority in Ghana’s Volta Region was carved out of Keta Municipality, established under Legislative Instrument 2372 of 2018, inaugurated on 19 February 2019, and given an administrative capital bearing the district’s own name.
The answer is Anloga District Assembly. Four government and institutional records independently support the identification, and a fifth — the 2021 census population figure — is recorded as partially verified because it was read from the census portal rather than a downloaded district table.
The exercise was designed and carried out by the researcher as portfolio work. It is not client work, and no claim is made that it defeated any commercial AI system.

Limitations disclosed
- Two of the recorded searches — for the legislative instrument and for the parent municipality — return the answer directly. A production benchmark would paraphrase or replace those clues.
- The 2021 population figure is confirmed at census-portal level only, not from a downloaded district data table.
- The full search log, evidence chain and machine-readable record are published on the case-study page for independent checking.
